LinkBuilder.io review
Agency · Edinburgh, United Kingdom
LinkBuilder.io publishes its whole retainer ladder, including the enterprise tier at the top, which is rarer than it sounds. Most suppliers publish an entry price and replace the top of the range with a contact form.
The thing worth pausing on is its Earned Media product: $3,500 a month for fifty or more guaranteed press pickups. Guaranteed volume in earned media is exactly what several other companies in this directory warn buyers against, on the grounds that editorial acceptance cannot be promised. Both positions are published, on different sites, and a buyer should read them together.
Who LinkBuilder.io is for
Companies that want a committed monthly link count and a fixed budget, and that are comfortable with a six-month term.
The ladder runs a long way up, so it suits a buyer who expects to scale spend rather than test and stop.
Strengths and limits
What it does well
- Publishes all four retainer tiers including the enterprise price, which most suppliers withhold
- Committed monthly link counts at each tier, not a range
- Runs seven of the eight tracked tactics and names more than twenty specific plays
- A six-month term with a ninety-day opt-out, so the commitment has a defined exit
Where it falls short
- The authority commitment is an average of DR 50 to 90, not a floor, so individual placements can sit below it
- Sells guaranteed press pickups, which other specialists here argue cannot honestly be guaranteed
- A six-month contract is longer than most per-link suppliers require
- Says nothing about whether publishers are paid
LinkBuilder.io pricing
Startup is $2,999 a month for eight links at an average DR of 50 to 90. Pro is $5,999 for sixteen or more, Growth $9,999 for twenty-six or more, and Enterprise $19,999 for fifty-three or more. Content is priced separately per article.
Note the word average. A tier promising an average of DR 50 to 90 is a materially weaker commitment than a floor, because a batch can contain placements well below the range as long as something above it balances the arithmetic.
What it says about paying publishers
Does not say either way
We found no statement on its site about whether it pays publishers for placements. That is the most common answer in this directory rather than an unusual one, and it is recorded as silence rather than treated as an admission of anything.
On target sites: does not say.
This records what LinkBuilder.io publishes about itself, read in September 2026. It is not an assessment of what the company does, and a published denial is not proof of one either.
Verdict
Reasonable if you want budget certainty and a known link count, and the published enterprise tier is genuinely useful for planning a year rather than a quarter.
Two things to press on before signing. Ask whether the DR 50 to 90 figure can be converted from an average into a floor, because an average is not a commitment on any individual link. And if the Earned Media add-on interests you, ask how fifty pickups can be guaranteed when other specialists in this market say they cannot be.
This is an independent review. LinkBuilder.io is not a client or a partner, we have no affiliate relationship with them, we earn nothing if you hire them, and nobody pays for placement in the directory. Prices were read from the company's own pages in September 2026 and change without notice.
