This policy describes what data busyless.space (“Busyless”, “we”) collects from visitors, why we collect it, where it's stored, and the rights you have over it. Busyless is operated by Eugene Suslov. For any privacy-related question, email eugene@busyless.space.

What we collect

Information you provide

Lead form submissions. When you fill out a contact form on this site, we store the email address and message you provide, along with the page you submitted from. This lets us reply and remember the context of the conversation.
Bookings. If you book a call through the Cal.com embed, Cal.com collects your name, email, and any answers to scheduling questions. That data is handled under Cal.com's privacy policy. We see the same data on our side so we can show up to the call.

Information collected automatically

Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — aggregate page views, referrers, device categories. We do notload analytics scripts unless you accept. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived access logs (IP, user-agent, requested path) for security and abuse prevention. These are not used for tracking or profiling.
Functional cookies.Two small values are stored in your browser's localStorage: your theme preference (busyless-theme) and your consent choice (busyless-consent). Both are required for the site to remember your preferences between visits.

How we use it

Reply to your inquiries and prepare for booked calls.
Understand which content is useful so we can write more of it.
Detect abuse (e.g. spam form submissions) and keep the site running.

We don't sell your data. We don't profile you for advertising. We don't share lead-form contents with third parties beyond the infrastructure listed below.

Where data is stored

Lead form submissions are stored in our Payload CMS instance, backed by a Postgres database hosted on Neon (EU or US region depending on the project setup).
Hosting and edge delivery is provided by Vercel.
Analytics data, if you consent, is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and Fontshare. These services may log your IP when serving font files, governed by their own policies.

Cookies and tracking

We use the minimum tracking necessary to run the site:

busyless-theme — your light/dark choice. Stored in localStorage, never transmitted.
busyless-consent — your analytics consent choice. Stored in localStorage, never transmitted.
Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — only set if you accept the consent banner.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK or another jurisdiction with comparable data protection law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Ask us to delete your data (right to erasure).
Object to processing or restrict it.
Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Withdraw analytics consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email eugene@busyless.space. We'll respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Lead form submissions:kept while there's an active or potentially-active conversation, plus a reasonable archive window of up to three years for record-keeping.
Analytics:Google's default retention applies (14 months for user/event data on the GA4 free tier).
Server logs:retained per Vercel's policy, typically a few days to a few weeks.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone in that group. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and bump the “Last updated” date. For substantive changes affecting how we process previously-submitted data, we'll reach out where we have a contact method.
