HubGem review
Onboarding, CRM implementation, Integration · Lincoln, United Kingdom · Since 2019
HubGem was founded in 2019 by Gemma Price, who had implemented HubSpot as a director of marketing and admissions in the education sector before starting the company. It trades as HubGem Marketing Ltd, company number 13299703, registered at Scothern near Lincoln.
It works with one sector. The homepage counts 200 clients across 24 countries, 85 independent schools, 100 five-star reviews and 38 live HubSpot to iSAMS integrations, and the about page says most of the team has worked inside schools, colleges, universities or training providers.
Its service list reflects that focus rather than a generic menu: onboarding, re-onboarding of a portal that has drifted, monthly growth plans, an AI masterclass built for education, a parent-facing admissions portal, and a one way sync into the iSAMS school management system with an alumni sync in development.
Who HubGem is for
Schools, colleges, universities and training providers where admissions, marketing and communications sit in different systems. The iSAMS sync is the specific reason to look here, because that integration is already running for 38 organisations rather than being scoped fresh.
The growth plans are aimed at institutions that cannot recruit a CRM manager. Each tier is defined in hours of hands-on technical support per month plus a set number of one hour consultant calls, which is a clearer basis for comparison than a retainer described only by outcome.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
- Prices four onboarding packages and five support tiers in public, with the hours included in each stated
- Runs 38 live HubSpot to iSAMS integrations, so the education-specific connection is proven rather than promised
- Restricts itself to one sector and says most of its team has worked inside schools, colleges and universities
- Offers a re-onboarding package aimed specifically at cleaning up an existing portal, separately from a fresh implementation
Limits
- Nothing outside education is served, so a buyer in another sector is not the reader here
- Headcount is not published, and the about page calls the company a small team making a big impact
- Nothing is published about who owns the integration code, the admissions portal or the documentation afterwards
- The site does not address HubSpot licences or whether the firm is compensated on them

Licences, the build, and whose hands
Does it earn on your licences
Does not say whether it earns on your licences
We found nothing on its site or in its terms about whether it resells HubSpot licences or is paid on the software it recommends. That is recorded as silence, not as a finding against the firm. Ask before the first invoice.
Who owns the build
Does not say who owns the build
We found nothing on its site or in its terms about who keeps the portal, the workflows and any custom code when the engagement ends. That is recorded as silence, not as a finding against the firm. Ask before the first invoice.
Who does the work
Says its own people do the work
“We work remotely and have complete trust in our team to work however, and wherever they feel is best for them”
This records what HubGem publishes about itself, read in September 2026. It is not an assessment of what the firm does in practice.
Verdict
Education organisations running iSAMS alongside HubSpot have a concrete reason to start here, since that sync is live for 38 institutions and has its own page. The published package and support prices mean a bursar or marketing director can build a business case before booking anything.
Every other sector should look elsewhere, and the site says so by omission: the language, the packages and the case studies are all education. The company also does not publish its size, so a large multi campus programme needs a direct conversation about capacity before commitment.
