JetOctopus API review

Enterprise crawling, published price

Reviewed by Eugene SuslovUpdated August 2026No affiliate links

JetOctopus does most of what Botify and Oncrawl do, at a price you can read on a web page. Crawl and log analysis are both included, the crawler is genuinely fast at millions of pages, and there is an API across crawl, log and Search Console data.

In a category where every competitor hides behind a quote form, published pricing is itself the differentiator. It means a mid-market team can evaluate and buy without a procurement process.

Who JetOctopus API is for

Agencies and in-house teams that have outgrown Screaming Frog but cannot justify an enterprise contract. It is the natural middle rung, and for most large-but-not-enormous sites it does the whole job.

Strengths and limits

What it does well

  • Published pricing from $171 a month, which no other tool in this bracket offers.
  • Log file analysis included rather than sold as a premium module.
  • Fast at scale, comfortably handling sites in the millions of pages.
  • Search Console data joined to crawl data, which answers most crawl-efficiency questions without a warehouse.

Where it falls short

  • Smaller company than the enterprise incumbents, with less procurement-friendly support and fewer integrations.
  • Reporting and visualisation are less polished than Botify's.
  • Crawl and logs only, so it complements rather than replaces an SEO data API.

JetOctopus API pricing

Pricing starts around $171 a month for one website and 100,000 pages, with the cloud tier from roughly €383 a month as of Q2 2026. Larger page volumes and multiple sites scale from there.

Against Botify's reported $2,000 to $10,000 a month, that is an order of magnitude cheaper for a large share of the same capability. The gap shows in polish and support rather than in whether the crawl completes.

Verdict

The best-value serious crawler here, and the obvious first step past Screaming Frog. Published pricing alone makes it worth evaluating before you let anyone book you into an enterprise demo. Only reach for Botify or Oncrawl if you hit something this genuinely cannot do.

JetOctopus API FAQ

  • How much does JetOctopus cost?
From around $171 a month for one website and 100,000 pages, with the cloud tier from roughly €383 a month as of Q2 2026. Pricing is published, unlike its enterprise competitors.
  • Does JetOctopus include log file analysis?
Yes, included rather than sold as a premium module. That is unusual at this price point and is the main reason it competes with tools costing ten times more.
  • JetOctopus or Screaming Frog?
Screaming Frog is a desktop crawler you run yourself, cheap and excellent for audits. JetOctopus is cloud-based with continuous monitoring, log analysis and an API. The switch point is usually when crawls stop fitting on one machine or you need scheduled monitoring.
  • Is it really comparable to Botify?
For the core crawl and log work on large sites, largely yes. Botify pulls ahead on crawl-budget modelling at extreme scale, reporting polish and enterprise support. For most large sites JetOctopus answers the same questions.
