Content Marketing Media review

Builds and runs it

Reviewed by Eugene SuslovRead September 2026No affiliate links

Content Marketing Media, or CMM, is the practice of Josh Whitfield, and despite the name it sells GTM engineering and managed cold email rather than content. The homepage lists partner certifications with Clay, Instantly, Maildoso, Octave and Lusha, and says Whitfield was a top 8 finalist in the 2026 Clay Cup.

The pricing is fully public and unusually granular. Managed builds are sold by hours: $5,000 a month for 10 hours, $10,000 for 20 and $15,000 for 40 as a fractional GTM engineer. Managed cold email is sold by volume: $5,000 for up to 100,000 emails a month, rising to $15,000 for up to a million.

It also publishes a live 30-day feed from its own Instantly workspace, showing emails sent, reply rate and opportunities, and claims more than $100M in client pipeline across engagements.

Who Content Marketing Media is for

Teams with a complex data problem, such as a governed TAM, signal routing or private equity qualification, that want one senior builder rather than a large team. The build tiers suit a company with its own operators who will run what is handed over.

The cold email tiers suit a buyer who wants sending volume managed, with copywriting, managed replies and a dedicated Instantly account included.

Strengths and limits

What it does well

  • Publishes all six monthly prices with the hours or sending volume each one buys
  • Build tiers include documentation, 30 or 60 days of post-launch support and a handoff session, and the site says builds are handed to the client
  • Shows a live, aggregate 30-day performance feed from its own Instantly workspace rather than only selected case studies
  • Explains the basis of its headline figure: $70.45M of visible pipeline from three anonymised Instantly workspace snapshots dated 12 August 2026

Where it falls short

  • At $5,000 for 10 hours a month, the entry build tier works out at $500 per hour of build time
  • The work is run by one named person, and no team size is published
  • The managed cold email tiers do not say who holds the sending domains and accounts when the engagement ends
  • No minimum term, pilot or guarantee is published; scope and price are confirmed in writing before work begins

Content Marketing Media pricing

Both paths are priced in public. Managed builds cost $5,000 a month for 10 hours, $10,000 for 20 hours with multi-system architecture, and $15,000 for 40 hours as an embedded GTM engineer. Managed cold email costs $5,000 for up to 100,000 emails a month, $10,000 for up to 500,000 and $15,000 for up to a million.

Every cold email tier includes copywriting, sequencing, GTM engineering, a dedicated Instantly account and managed replies. No minimum term is published; the site says scope, timeline and price are confirmed in writing first.

Verdict

Ten build hours for $5,000 a month, or up to 100,000 managed cold emails for the same, are the two ways in. Josh Whitfield's practice fits a buyer who wants a certified Clay builder to design a data system and hand it over, or cold email priced openly by volume. The published tiers, stated handoff and live performance feed make the offer easy to assess before a call.

One named person runs the work and both entry tiers start at $5,000 a month, which excludes smaller budgets and buyers who need a deep team. The cold email tiers also leave open who keeps the sending domains and email accounts after a managed engagement ends.
