seoClarity API review
Printed floor, API free on tracked data

seoClarity is an enterprise SEO and answer engine platform that does something Conductor, a rival buyers often weigh it against, does not: it prints a starting price. Research & Content starts at $2,500 a month, Technical SEO at $3,200 and Enterprise at $4,500, with a rankings-only package quoted on keyword volume. The FAQ names mid-market brands as a target, and every account comes with unlimited user seats.
Those four cards are not new. Wayback Machine captures show them replacing a three-tier ladder in autumn 2024, when the lowest printed price, Core, was $3,200 for a single domain. The recent changes sit elsewhere: Clarity ArcAI, the AI search product, is sold as a separate quote-only add-on, and LiveWire, launched on 7 July 2026, bundles API, MCP and spreadsheet access.
The API answer is precise even though the pricing page muddles it. Data you already track, rankings above all, reaches the API at no extra charge, and LiveWire promises no per-query fees. Research across the wider dataset, such as a competitor domain in Research Grid, is charged per request. Yet the plan table on that page, footnoted to October 2022, still lists API access on the top tier.
Our scorecard
Our editorial read across six dimensions, scored 1 to 5. This is our own assessment, not an aggregate of user reviews, and it is deliberately kept out of the page's structured data.
- Data coverage4/5
Rankings well beyond Google web results, a 500 million keyword research grid and AI search across nine engines. Links are the thin part.
- Pricing3/5
A printed floor is rare in this bracket. Research calls are quoted, and the plan table contradicts the API promise.
- Documentation2/5
Six task APIs are public on seoclarity.dev. Managed-keyword and ArcAI references go through an account executive, and no rate limit is printed.
- Ease of integration3/5
An x-api-key header and JSON, but every documented API is asynchronous and often delivers a file to sFTP instead of a response body.
- Reliability3/5
No uptime figure is published. SLAs are promised on the Enterprise card and not described below it.
- Support4/5
Every client gets a dedicated Client Success Manager and onboarding, and Reddit comments describe an engaged success team.

Who seoClarity API is for
Mid-market and enterprise teams that want rankings, research, content and technical work under one contract, and want the data in their own warehouse without paying per seat or per call for what they already track. The Ranking Data API and million-row extracts suit a data team feeding BigQuery or Snowflake, and LiveWire suits colleagues who would rather ask Claude than open a dashboard.
A team that needs an open research dataset metered by the call should look past it. Lookups on domains you do not track are quoted per request, and the managed-keyword reference sits behind an account executive. At $2,500 a month it is also a steep entry fee for API access alone, when DataForSEO and SE Ranking sell keyword and domain research without a platform contract.
Strengths and limits
What it does well
- Published entry prices of $2,500, $3,200 and $4,500 a month plus a quoted rankings-only package, where Conductor publishes none.
- Unlimited user seats, which changes the maths for a large marketing organisation more than any headline rate.
- Tracked data reaches the API at no extra charge, and LiveWire adds MCP servers plus Sheets, Excel and Looker Studio plugins with no per-query fees.
- A research dataset you can query for any domain: Research Grid checks 500 million keywords a month across 90+ countries on desktop and mobile.
- AI search data by API across nine engines, including full responses and cited URLs rather than a single visibility score.
- Ranking coverage well past Google web results: local, Images, Shopping, Maps, Jobs, Bing, Baidu, Naver, Yandex, Yahoo Japan, Amazon and YouTube.
- Bulk delivery built for data teams, with extracts of up to a million rows sent to S3, Google Cloud Storage or FTP.
Where it falls short
- The pricing page contradicts the API promise: its plan table, footnoted as representative of October 2022, shows API access on the top tier only or as a paid add-on.
- Research across the wider dataset is charged per request and Content Fusion per analysis, and neither rate is published.
- No numeric rate limit is documented. A 429 only says the limit for your plan was exceeded.
- Documentation is split: six task APIs are public, while the managed-keyword and ArcAI references come from an account executive.
- Every documented API is asynchronous and often returns a file on sFTP, which suits warehouses and frustrates quick scripts.
- Ranking Data API output is XML while the research APIs return JSON or CSV, so one integration handles two formats.
- Clarity ArcAI, the AI search product most buyers now ask about, is quote-only with no published floor.
seoClarity API pricing
Four packages, three with a printed floor. Rankings is quoted on keyword volume from a 2,000 query minimum. Research & Content starts at $2,500 a month for small and medium teams, Technical SEO at $3,200 for multi-domain sites and Botify switchers, and Enterprise at $4,500 for global teams tracking 5,000 or more queries. The billing term is not published, though the page mentions multi-year discounts.
Searches for a new structure usually land on these cards. Wayback Machine captures show them arriving between 15 September and 6 October 2024, replacing Essentials, Core and Professional. The first priced card fell from $3,200 for one domain to $2,500, the rankings-only minimum from 5,000 queries to 2,000, and the Agency card left the page. The FAQ now names mid-market brands alongside large organisations.
What the API costs depends on whose data you want. Tracked data is included, and LiveWire's 7 July 2026 launch confirmed no seat or per-query fees for its API, MCP and plugins. Research outside your account, such as Research Grid lookups on competitor domains, is charged per request, and Content Fusion bills per analysis. A $0.15 per keyword daily ranking figure also appears, beside a stale reference to three packages.
Budget ArcAI separately. Its Core, Discovery and Accuracy packages are all quote-only, starting at 500 prompt queries, and the FAQ lists ArcAI and ClarityAutomate as add-ons. Before signing, get the API scope written into the order form, because the pricing page's plan table still describes API access as a Professional feature or a paid extra.

What practitioners say on Reddit
Practitioner discussion of seoClarity is sparse, mostly from 2021 and 2022, and none of it concerns the API. It comes from enterprise buyers weighing it against BrightEdge, Conductor and Botify at renewal time, and those who chose it praise keyword research, granular filtering and seasonality reporting for merchandising teams.
The criticism targets depth rather than data. One account called it good for reporting and customer success but underwhelming overall; the same account later described itself as a former Searchmetrics employee, a direct competitor at the time, so weigh it accordingly. A 2021 comment also judged the crawler behind dedicated crawl tools.
We found no practitioner comment on the 2024 package change, LiveWire or ArcAI pricing. The newest mention in these threads is a reply from seoClarity's own marketing account, which is not quoted here.
“I've used them all. Clarity hands down is the best that works for us. Conductor was part of the rfp we had but didn't make the cut. Brightedge we binned and moved the account to Clarity instead.”
r/bigseo on Reddit“SEOClarity is one of the best tools for kw research IMO and they're building a crawler (not as great as dedicated crawl tools yet).”
r/bigseo on Reddit“We ended with clarity and I'm really digging the filtering to really get things granular as you mentioned. Perfect tool for seasonality as well for our site merchandisers.”
r/bigseo on Reddit“Good for reporting - More customisable that other Enterprise SEO tools - Very active and engaged Customer Success Management - Underwhelming product”

Verdict
More open about price than Conductor, and still vague about the part this directory cares about. seoClarity prints floors from $2,500 a month, gives every user a seat, and pipes tracked data out through an API, MCP servers and spreadsheet plugins with no per-query fees. For a team that already tracks what it needs, that is a generous data arrangement.
The catch is the line between tracked and researched. Querying domains you do not track, pulling the full keyword universe or running content analyses is metered on a quote, and no rate limit is published. If an open research dataset is the whole requirement, DataForSEO or SE Ranking sell it without a platform underneath.
Read the pricing page as two documents. The cards are current and date from late 2024; the plan table and its October 2022 footnote are not, and they still describe the API as a top-tier feature. Ask for API scope, research-call pricing and the rate limit in writing, and compare Conductor on those three lines rather than on headline price.
seoClarity API FAQ
How much does seoClarity cost?
Three packages print a floor: Research & Content from $2,500 a month, Technical SEO from $3,200 and Enterprise from $4,500. A fourth, Rankings, is quoted on keyword volume with a 2,000 query minimum. All of them are priced on domains and tracked keywords, and Clarity ArcAI and ClarityAutomate are quoted add-ons on top. What changed in seoClarity pricing, and which buyers is it aimed at?
The change is older than most searches assume. Wayback Machine captures date the current four cards to between 15 September and 6 October 2024. The cheapest printed floor fell from $3,200 to $2,500, the rankings minimum from 5,000 queries to 2,000, and the FAQ now calls the structure tailored to mid-market brands and large organisations. ArcAI, the AI search product, is priced separately. Is API access included in a subscription?
For data you already track, the vendor says so. Its 7 July 2026 LiveWire release promises API, MCP and plugin access within a subscription and no per-query charges. The plan table on the pricing page, footnoted as representative of October 2022, still shows API access on the top tier only, so get the scope written into your order form. What does the API charge for?
Research outside your own account. Querying Research Grid for domains you do not track, or pulling the full Topic Explorer dataset, is charged per request, and Content Fusion analyses are billed individually. None of those rates is published. The Ranking Data API page quotes $0.15 per keyword for daily rankings, beside a stale reference to three packages.Which APIs does seoClarity offer?
Public docs on seoclarity.dev cover six task APIs: Research Grid, Content Gaps, Content Ideas, Content Fusion, Google SERP and Topic Explorer. Alongside them sit the Ranking Data API for tracked keywords, whose reference comes from an account executive, and the ArcAI API, which reports what nine AI engines say about a brand, which pages they cite and in what tone. How do authentication and rate limits work?
Send an API key in the x-api-key header; a missing key returns 401. The ArcAI API instead uses access and refresh tokens generated in the platform. No numeric rate limit is documented anywhere: a 429 response only says the limit for your plan was exceeded, so ask for the figure before sizing a pipeline.Does seoClarity have an MCP server?
Two routes exist. The ArcAI MCP server arrived with ArcAI 3.0 on 1 April 2026 and connects AI search data to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client. LiveWire, launched that July, extends MCP access to Research Grid, Topic Explorer, site audits and rank data, alongside Sheets, Excel and Looker Studio plugins.seoClarity or Conductor?
Compare them on the API rather than the brand. seoClarity lists entry prices, and its API reaches a research dataset covering any domain, metered on a quote. Conductor prints no prices but publishes its full API reference and rate limits, and its Data API returns only what your account tracks. One r/bigseo buyer who ran both through an RFP chose seoClarity.
This is an independent review. We have no affiliate relationship with seoClarity API, earn nothing if you sign up, and no provider pays for placement in the directory. Prices were read from the vendor's own pages in September 2026 and change without notice.
