Scrapfly review

Best anti-bot bypass

Reviewed by Eugene SuslovUpdated August 2026No affiliate links

Scrapfly's pitch is that hard targets stay reachable. Its anti-bot bypass is the strongest part of the product, and one API key also covers a cloud browser and a screenshot API, which removes two more vendors for teams that need them.

Credits run from 1 to 25 per request depending on the features used and the bypass required, which makes cost modelling essential rather than optional. Independent benchmarking in mid-2026 put its effective cost near $4 per 1,000 requests on realistic mixed workloads.

Who Scrapfly is for

Teams whose scraping keeps hitting walls. If your current provider's success rate is the problem rather than its price, this is the upgrade. For plain Google SERPs it is more capability than the job needs.

Strengths and limits

What it does well

  • Anti-bot handling that works on targets where cheaper providers simply fail.
  • Scraping, cloud browser and screenshots on one key, which consolidates a fragmented stack.
  • Transparent per-request credit accounting, so you can see exactly what each call cost.
  • A free tier for evaluating success rates against your own difficult targets.

Where it falls short

  • The 1-to-25 credit range makes forecasting genuinely hard until you have measured your own mix.
  • Roughly four times the cost of the cheapest credible SERP providers for straightforward Google results.
  • General-purpose, so SERP parsing is less thorough than a search-specialist provider's.

Scrapfly pricing

Credit-based, with each request consuming 1 to 25 credits depending on features and the bypass needed. Independent testing in June 2026 landed near $3.97 per 1,000 requests on a mixed workload. The Enterprise tier is $500 a month for 5.5 million credits with 100 concurrent requests.

Because the credit range is so wide, the only reliable way to budget is to run your actual targets through the free tier and read the per-request credit cost off the dashboard.

Verdict

Buy it for the success rate, not the price. When a cheaper provider is returning blocks on the targets you need, this is the sensible escalation. For a clean Google SERP workload, you are paying several times over for bypass capability you will not use.

Scrapfly FAQ

  • How much does Scrapfly cost?
It is credit-based, with requests consuming 1 to 25 credits by difficulty. Independent June 2026 benchmarking put the effective cost near $4 per 1,000 requests. The Enterprise tier is $500 a month for 5.5 million credits.
  • Why do Scrapfly credits vary so much per request?
Harder targets need more work: residential proxies, browser rendering, anti-bot bypass. Rather than averaging that into a flat rate, Scrapfly charges for what each request actually consumed, which is fairer but harder to forecast.
  • Is Scrapfly good for SERP scraping?
It handles SERPs at scale, but it is a general scraper rather than a search specialist, so parsing depth is behind a dedicated SERP API and the cost is higher. Its advantage shows on targets that block cheaper providers.
  • Is there a free tier?
Yes. Use it to measure the credit cost of your own targets, because the 1-to-25 range means someone else's benchmark tells you very little about your bill.
