React Bricks review
Free to start
React Bricks inverts the usual visual-builder trade-off. Instead of a generic block library, every content block is a React component you write, with the editable fields declared in the component itself. Editors compose pages from your bricks and cannot step outside them.
That makes it a genuinely good fit for teams with a design system they intend to keep intact.
Who React Bricks is for
React and Next.js teams with a design system, where marketers should build pages but must not be able to break the visual language.
React only, and page-oriented rather than content-oriented.
Strengths and limits
What it does well
- Content blocks are your components, so editor output cannot drift from the design system.
- Editing is visual and in-context, which non-technical users take to quickly.
- The free tier allows up to 60 pages, which is enough for a real small site.
- Per-user pricing at $39 is reasonable for small teams.
Where it falls short
- React only.
- Page counts are metered per tier: up to 60 free and up to 300 on Professional.
- Priced per user, which adds up for a larger marketing team.
- Structured content modelling is weak; this is a page builder with content attached.
React Bricks pricing
Free is $0 a month with 1 user, up to 60 pages with 10 included, 50GB of traffic, unlimited content blocks, forms with 10 submissions a month and 7-day change history. Professional is $39 per user per month with up to 5 users, up to 300 pages with 50 included, 200GB of traffic, real-time collaboration and scheduled publishing. Enterprise is custom.
Verdict
A strong answer to the specific problem of letting marketers build pages without wrecking a design system, and the code-first brick model is cleaner than most visual builders.
Page metering and React-only are the constraints. For structured content, pair it with something else or pick a different tool.
