The completion gate
The rule that stops a draft calling itself an article: name every pass, or call it a draft.

Curious
0 XPAsk if the article is done and you will be told it is done. That is not dishonesty, it is just that "done" is not defined, so any answer is defensible.
So define it.
The gate
An article is not complete until all five passes have been run and reported by name. A skim, a spell-check, or a search for em dashes is not a pass. If they have not run, the output is a draft, and it has to say so.
The report
The exact format matters more than it looks like it should. A fixed label per line means you can see a missing pass at a glance, instead of reading a paragraph that sounds thorough.
Pass 1 (content & slop): 3 changes. Removed "leverage",
"enhance", one staccato run.
Pass 2 (mechanics): 6 changes. 1 em dash, 2 UK spellings,
1 section ending on a table,
2 anchors over 5 words.
Pass 3 (fresh read): 1 change. Section 4 contradicted
the intro. Rewrote the conclusion.
Pass 4 (cluster & consistency): skipped, one-off article.
Pass 5 (fact & rule audit): clean. 4 numbers checked against
the KB, all verified 2026-08-04.
SEO finalize: primary 2x body, 5 secondaries 1x each.
Title 54 chars, description 148.
Final QA: 8 internal links, all HTTP 200.
2 tables, 5 FAQs, takeaways present. The reason this works is that it is much harder to write a specific false line than a vague one. "3 changes, removed leverage and enhance" is checkable. "Proofread and polished" is not.
Is it done?
40 XP+10 perfectClaude hands back an article and says: "I've proofread this thoroughly, checked for AI slop, fixed the mechanics, and verified all the facts. It's ready to publish."
What is your response?
You have the whole system now
Intake that asks instead of guessing. Research that reads the SERP and verifies every number. Rules written on disk so they survive a closed window. Writing in phases against an outline. Five passes and a gate.
None of it is clever. All of it is decided in advance and written down, which is the only reason it holds up at article forty.
One last thing
Every check in this course ends with a person deciding. The system raises the floor and removes the boring half. It does not remove you. That is the point of building it this way.
