cold.email review

Runs it for you

cold.email is the shop of John Tanner Worthington, a former SDR who says he made 100,000+ cold calls before moving to email. Its billing model is the headline: clients pay only for 'meeting ready leads'. That means a decision maker in your target vertical and geography who has heard the offer and asked for a call, billed after delivery.

The build leans on data work. The FAQ lists Python and custom web scrapers, search engine APIs, Clay and AI agents for list building and personalisation, with Instantly for sending. AI reply monitoring then pushes interested leads and their contact details into your CRM by webhook. It also offers coaching, a YouTube channel and a free Skool community.

Who cold.email is for

B2B companies with at least $1M to $2M in ARR, a salesperson to take the calls and a working CRM; the FAQ says that below that level it may be cost prohibitive. The homepage pitches brands ready to scale beyond $100k+ MRR.

Domains and mailboxes stay under cold.email's management during the engagement, which an email-only buyer has to accept. It does not do LinkedIn outreach, and says so.

Strengths and limits

What it does well

  • Bills only for a defined unit, the 'meeting ready lead', invoiced after delivery rather than in advance
  • Starts every client on a 20-lead trial, then asks only for 30 days' notice to cancel
  • Answers the ownership question in its FAQ: domains and mailboxes can be transferred to the client at the end of the engagement
  • Says it launches within 48 to 72 hours of onboarding, using pre-warmed domains that redirect to the client's site

Where it falls short

  • No per-lead price or trial price is published
  • During the engagement it keeps domains and mailboxes under its own management, and the homepage line 'you own everything' becomes 'Yes and no' in the FAQ
  • Email only: the FAQ says it does not run LinkedIn outreach
  • Its promise to 'double your results in 30 days, triple them in 60' is not tied to a baseline or a contract term

cold.email pricing

No prices are published. The model is described instead: you pay only for meeting ready leads, billed after delivery, and the homepage says there is no setup fee, no monthly retainer and no software cost.

Every client starts with a 20-lead trial, which the FAQ calls a 'no strings attached' opportunity, though it does not say what the trial costs. After it, continuing requires 30 days' notice to cancel, which the company says protects the lists it builds.

a lead in vertical/industry, a decision maker, in geography, who has been pitched on your offer, and asks for a call or meeting

This records what cold.email publishes about itself, read in September 2026. It is not an assessment of what the company does in practice.

Verdict

Paying only for meeting ready leads, invoiced after delivery, is the case for a B2B company past $1M in ARR that wants interested decision makers rather than a retainer. The 20-lead trial tests that before going further, and the published lead definition and the ownership transfer answer are both concrete.

Email is the whole channel mix, and the per-lead rate is agreed privately. That leaves nothing here for teams needing LinkedIn or calling alongside, or a price before the first conversation.
